Mike Ferrari works primarily at the intersection of government relations and communications. He leads the External Affairs division’s higher education survey research series, plays a central role in the university’s Cuba initiative, and works on a range of strategic communications, public policy, and public affairs initiatives.

Prior to joining Northeastern in 2011, Ferrari spent a decade as a senior advisor to state and federal legislators. He served as senior counsel to two members of Congress and as chief of staff and communications director in the Massachusetts Senate. He worked on several state and congressional political campaigns and spent two years with the Peace Corps in Guatemala.

Ferrari received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in political science from Bates College. He holds a juris doctor from Suffolk University Law School and is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
